A Safe Space

KNOW that sometimes all you can do for someone is hold his or her hand and listen. They just need a safe space to release what lives inside, so their dis-ease does not manifest as disease.

Be the safe space when asked, if you can. However, do not take on their pain.

It is healthy to empathize and care… not so healthy to become one with someone else’s suffering.

Stay strong for them… and for you.  ♥♥♥  Kathy

Your Metamorphosis

KNOW that often when we try so hard to make something happen, we actually block the flow of allowing what needs to happen for our highest good to appear.

Yes, it may seem counter-intuitive to let go of doing it all. However, putting your intention out there, creating a space for whatever it is you want to have happen, and then letting GO and trusting that it will usually produces some pretty amazing results.

Caterpillars become butterflies as part of their natural flow. Let who YOU are meant to be flow through you, too.  ♥♥♥  Kathy

Go For The Gold

When you are told “No,” and your heart says “Yes,” KNOW to keep on going.

In 2008, South Africa’s Oscar Pistorius, a bilateral amputee, was banned from competing with “able bodied athletes,” because he was deemed to have… an advantage!

However, Pistorius did not take “No” for an answer, and at the individual 400 and 4X400 relay in London this summer, he will be the first amputee to ever compete in the Olympics.

To read more of Pistorius’ amazing story, click here – http://news.discovery.com/adventure/oscar-pistorius-amputee-olympics-120720.html

Most of us have had or currently have people in our lives that tell us “No” when we speak our dreams. Follow your heart’s “Yes” instead, and go for the gold!  ♥♥♥  Kathy

Face the LIght

“Turn your face to the sun and the shadows fall behind you.” (Maori Proverb)

KNOW to stay facing the light, no matter how dark life may seem. Areas of the body can get deeply affected with pain and/or illness by negative emotions.

For example:
Guilt affects the Large Intestine
Anger affects the Liver
Fear affects the Stomach
Outrage/Anger affects the Gall bladder
Depression/Lack of hope/No expression affects the Thyroid
Criticism/Bitterness affects the Kidneys
Grief affects the Lungs
Lack of Support/Feeling Secure/Flexibility/Having structure and roots, etc., affects the back
(From Dr. John Diamond’s book “Life Energy: Using the Meridians to Unlock the Hidden Power of your Emotions”)

May all your shadows fall behind you!  ♥♥♥  Kathy

Healing With Lavender

KNOW about lovely lavender… the floral symbol of love, devotion, and loyalty.

Legend has it that lavender was brought to Great Britain by the Romans. Widely used and highly valued, the Romans were aware of its healing, soothing, and insect-repelling properties.

Lavender oil was, and still is, used for massage, and it is said that nobody is allergic to lavender. The scent is calming, and wonderful to use for stress. A little bag of dried lavender florets under your pillow may help bring sleep.

It can help relieve colds, coughs, asthma, bronchitis, pneumonia, flu, tonsillitis, laryngitis, stomach and bowel infections, fevers, headaches, bloating, insomnia, etc.

Lavender attracts insects such as bumble bees, ladybugs, and praying mantises that are beneficial to the farm or garden.
